We have had our wine refrigerator for about 3 weeks, and so far, we love it! We were concerned that we were going to have to pull out some shelves to fit some of our ‘thick’ bottles (like petite sirah), but even though those ‘scrape’ the next shelf up, the shelf can still be opened/closed. Most Cabs, Zins, Bordeaux’s, etc., fit great on each shelf. For some bottles, they also require one open slot next to them (again, larger bottles), but on each shelf, I have comfortably been able to put 15-22 bottles per shelf. There are 16 ‘standard’ shelves, and the bottom (17th) shelf is for larger, 1.5L bottles. So even if you have some larger bottles, you should be able to get at least 250 bottles in this cooler. With some dessert wines (smaller 375 ml bottles), you can easily get to the 289+ capacity.
