   Review for the Whynter 24” 54 bottle Wine Refrigerator: My under counter cabinet space was 33 inches maximum which eliminated other wine coolers. I’m very pleased so far with this unit. The unit is attractive and blends in with my cabinetry . Shelves roll in/out easily and there is LED lighting. Unit is fairy quiet, with some low level pumping (or bubbling) like noise. The unit can store various size bottles; storage capabilities A) 54 Cab style bottles B) 49 Cab style bottles & 5 Pinot bottles on bottom shelves C) 38 Cab style bottles & 8 Pinot bottles on top shelf D) 33 Cab style bottles & 13 Pinot bottles on top and bottom shelves In addition, with 8 Pinot bottles on top shelf; 375ml smaller bottles could be added to top shelf. I don’t recommend putting Cab bottles on top of the Pinots as labels can be scratched and also causes downward pressure on top shelf.

   Where do I start?… The item came with the wrong user manual for the product. Even after finding the correct manual online, the instructions for how to reverse the door hinge were very incomplete.
   Once I completed the hinge reversal, the unit didn’t work. It turns out that the door switch is not placed correctly on the unit and will not engage, so the unit doesn’t cool. I had to add felt stickers on the inside of the door to engage the switch. Then the unit cooled quickly (when empty). After filling it to capacity, it would not cool back down below 71 deg F. Empty it out half way and it will get cooler, but only if you set the temp to ~70 F. Temperature range inside the fridge was over 10 deg between the top and bottom. Unit started icing up in the back and the upper fan never comes on. I’m sending this product back. Thanks to idealwinecoolers.com for being accommodating about the return….
   Finally, what’s interesting is, I bought a similar product (larger, 104 bottle unit) that works very well. The shelves are a little tough to pull out, but at least the unit functions way better than this one.
