The product description on idealwinecoolers.com states “Store whites at 40 to 55 degrees in the upper zone and reds at 50 to 66 degrees in the lower zone”
I wanted to store all reds at 55 degrees F, so this would be perfect, right?
When I got the fridge, the actual ranges are 40-50 degrees in the upper zone and 50-66 in the lower zone. So only 60% of the fridge (The bottom 3 racks) meets my needs.
Had I known that, I probably would have passed on this unit.
Oh yeah, and like with all of the other wine fridges this size, the max number of 750ml bottles you will be able to store is 15, or 3 per shelf. 29 bottles – I think not
On the plus side it is very quiet and the delivery was 2 days. The lock is a nice feature too – keeps the kiddos from playing with the door.

2nd fridge (same make/model). Both times the fan stopped working or started to make an extremely loud noise. 1st one was purchased in 2017 and replaced in 2019. 2nd one was purchased in 2019 and started making a loud noise from the fan in 2022. Love the look but am not able to recommend this fridge at all. For the price, I would definitely expect to get more than 2 years out of it. We will NOT be replacing it with the same brand.

The first one we got stopped working after 2 months. Called their customer service, which by the way were fantastic. They emailed us instructions for checking the compressor. The compressor failed. They quickly shipped us a new one, with a free shipping label to return the broken unit and instructions for contacting FedEx for free pickup. Honestly, the best customer service ever. So far the new unit is working great.

The compressor failed soon after the warranty expired. Support claimed it was a failed temperature sensor (which made no sense since the compressor turned on but didn’t do anything AND both zones had the problem). Sent two new sensors for “free” after requiring a positive review on their website. Sensors, not surprisingly, didn’t help. No responses from support since then. Poor quality product, weak support. Do not buy.

I purchased this wine fridge due to its size and the fact that it has a reversible door. When I received the unit, we did not see the hardware to reverse the door. I contacted New Air and they advised me that because the unit has a recessed kickplate you cannot reverse the door. It states all over the product page that the door can be reversed but this is not the case (at least for the recessed kick plate version). Now I have an unsightly wine fridge in my brand new kitchen that is pretty much unusable due to the door position. Not a happy camper.
