This is a really terrific wine cooler plus was delivered before I hit Send to buy it. We have had it for four months and it works very well. The only flaw is that the temps at which the two compartments are set are a few degrees different than the ones that display on the thermometer we bought. However, this doesn’t matter as once you learn the temps to set the compartments at to achieve the temps you want, they remain consistent. I suggest waiting for a couple of days before fine turning the temperatures so the thermostatic system can relax after its long journey to your home.
I did an exhaustive search to find a good cooler. Due to the nature of the mass of reviews I read on several websites, this was the only one deemed worth trying.

Be aware that the information on the idealwinecoolers.com website is incorrect about this and other Koolatron wine fridges. The website says it can be plugged in anywhere. But it can’t. And the measurements for this product are different than what’s on the Koolatron website. Also, idealwinecoolers.com will not accept a return on the product. I’m sure it’s a good product. Before you buy, I’d suggest you contact Koolatron directly for correct placement and sizing dimensions. idealwinecoolers.com needs to update the info on the website.

The first one shipped was damaged so back it went. The second one was also damaged but on on the bottom rear corner and I like a dummy accepted it figureing the unit would still be OK. The unit runs for long times and after opening the top door I noticed the the top of the bottom door didnt seal. The bottom hing was in too tight. Call to see if it can be adjusted and was told that it was not adjustable. I have a choice to send it to NY at my expense for repair. After 3 months I got rid of the packing material and that would ad to the cost of return.

It’s good to have something like this, but I wish it had greater spacing between bottles and between shelves. Burgundy-style bottles (Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) are too big for it. They bend the wire shelves, which prevents use of the slots next to them and above or below them.
The other negative is that it gets pretty wet inside. I guess that reduces evaporation of the wine, but it causes the bottles to get moldy and some labels fall off. I would not recommend it for laying down bottles for years.

I just received this for my birthday last week and so far it’s working very well… I just moved from a place on the beach to more inland LA where the days get quite hot, so I knew it was time to do something to protect my wine. The capacity is perfect and the ability to store at two different temps is awesome (although I only have a bottle of champagne in the top compartment). The reviews seem accurate, which is probably true for the other fridges; all of which got horrible reviews. I’d never heard of this brand before, but I can vouch for it’s solid construction and very attractive design. This seems like the wine fridge to buy!

So far the product has delivered as promised. Surprisingly, the frig does hold the indicated # of bottles which in my experience, is rare. The frig is also fairly noiseless and I keep it within 5 feet of my couch where I watch TV. Aesthetically, it looks nice. The only negative is that the temperature indicator is probably about 2-3 degrees cooler than the actual temperature. However, that may be do to the ambient temperature in the room as I do not keep the a/c on during the day when I am at work. Also, this problem is easily remedied by making the frig temperature cooler than desired.

When this product arrived, there was some issue with the wine cooler, it is slanted so I contacted Tatmart whom I ordered the product. Within 24 hours they addressed the issue and the wine cooler was replaced. It may not be perfect the first time but the way they addressed the issue and helped me is amazing. Though it wasn’t packed securely and the rear corner outside metal was dented, I like it. I tried the thermo-electric wine coolers before and they were unreliable. This unit is compressor driven and works well. Some past reviewers commented negatively on the sound of the compressor, but I find it quiet. It’s located in my dining room and we eat all of our meals there. The unit when lighted is particularly attractive with the black interior and exterior. There are some decorative stainless trim pieces which show in the picture. Doors open and close easily. One really nice feature is the basket rack in the bottom which will accommodate larger bottles. I haven’t tried to put the advertised 29 bottles in it, and probably won’t, so I don’t care if one could squeeze that many in. It is easy to clean with just a damp wash-rag. All-in-all, it’s new and I like it. We’ll see in a year or two!
