   This is a replacement for an older wine refrigerator. This works far better and I am very happy with it. The shelves slide out easily; the racks hold Bordeaux style bottles from all regions easily and the lighting is attractive.

   This is a very nice wine refrigerator – temperature stays right on the setting, easy to access the wine with slide out shelves and looks very nice. I would have definitely given it 5 stars if it wasn’t so hard to remove the door gasket enough to attach the door handle! I still haven’t been able to do it, concerned the gasket will tear and I have a refrigerator totally full of wine now – don’t want those issues to deal with. The company said to go ahead and pull harder to remove the gasket enough to attach the handle, it is not something that I think anyone would be able to do. I am 6’2, 200 lbs and in good shape and I haven’t been able to do it yet. Nest step is to try pliers to pull it out – only hope is will fit back in the track after the handle is on!! Needs a better way to install the handle, or ship it already attached and pack it so it wouldn’t get damaged in shipping IMO… Would also prefer the lock to be at the top of the door vs down by the floor. All that said I am still very happy with the unit itself!!

   I actually bought a total of 2 of these units. This was the first one and it was working just great so I bought another one 8 months later. After 2 years this unit began having problems. I noticed that it didn’t seem to be turning off and that the temp was over 15 degrees colder than the set temp of 55d. So I unplugged it and turned it back on and it was working fine for about a day, but it continues to fluctuate more than 15d so I have to turn it off every couple days until I get a new brand. Oh, and the second Edgestar unit is beginning to have issues also. That unit now constantly runs but never reaches a temp lower than 68 degrees.

   I bought two cabinets and one has gone out and EdgeStar saying not repairable because circuit board no longer available, but I see brand new one are available. Poor manufacturer not supporting their product.
