   Only buy this if you plan to pay the extra for the best/longest warranty or don’t mind that it will only work for 1-2 years. This died within 3 years for no apparent reason. It just stopped holding the temperature. We didn’t move it from the spot where it’s been, no issue with electricity or outlet. A product like this should last for years. It is wasteful to throw appliances like this into the garbage. Not what our environment needs.

   I gave this 5 stars as I feel this little wine fridge is perfect! I got the 12 bottled mirrored and I even have a few beers in there too. It’s very quiet and I like that it does not have a compressor so I don’t hear it kicking off and on. My old wine fridge was getting louder by the day and I could not stand it. So if your thinking of getting a wine cooler, this is a good price, quiet, cute, hold 12 bottles or little less wine and you can put some bottled water. Perfect for me!

   The item is space efficient, fits 6 bottles of 750ml wine. It looks sleek. While a white noise can be heard when the fan runs, it’s relatively quiet and most of time we don’t pay attention. The items looks durable structurally but time will tell how long it lasts. This item was bought to maintain high quality wine at 55 degrees F so the light was rarely used. We had to place the item side ways because the fan is at the back to promote better air circulation.

   Purchased this “used” unit from the idealwinecoolers.com Warehouse that was described as having “minor cosmetic damage in the interior” and rated “Acceptable”. I felt the discounted price offered was very good for issues that were not visible or would affect performance. However, when I unpacked it, there was also a quite noticeable exterior dent (that I can’t believe was missed on inspection). Not really wanting the hassle of repacking the wine fridge and hauling to the closest UPS store about 15 miles from my home, I called idealwinecoolers.com Customer Service to inquire about an additional discount to compensate for the exterior damage that was not disclosed on the web site. The agent was not able to authorize my request and when I asked to speak to her supervisor, she advised I must write an email to idealwinecoolers.com Customer Service and open an investigation. Before writing, I decided to test to see if the cooler was even worth keeping. The digital thermostat doesn’t always work properly. The temperature display randomly changes from Fahrenheit to Celsius when the door is opened/closed and adjusts the temperature displayed down by one degree. It takes a few tries to readjust the temperature to the correct setting for it to stick. Once set, temp is fairly accurate within 1-2 degrees (I have a refrigerator thermometer inside to monitor). Every 10-12 hours or so, the display will again go down by one degree and doesn’t go back up to desired setting unless reset manually. At the right price, I could live with these issues knowing I can make the adjustment as this is a short term storage solution for me. However, I have not received a response to the email I sent, and another idealwinecoolers.com Customer Service Agent, via Chat, said this wine cooler did not qualify for an additional reduction because it was an “idealwinecoolers.com Warehouse” item. So it will probably go into the landfill much sooner than it needs to.
