   This cooler did not cool from the first time it was plugged in. I called the number given on the packaging inserts and was connected with a man who was gruff and spoke in a seriously broken English. He said he would call me back after I texted a photo of the unit and of the shipping label. I was never called back with instructions to troubleshoot but two days later I received a message on my idealwinecoolers.com account which instructed me to set the unit on 2-3 on the thermostat and allow 24 hours. The unit never cooled. I have work experience as an electrician, so be assured the problem was not the power source.

   I sent Mr Gruff a text telling him that the unit did not cool after 24 hours at 2-3 setting. Two days later a shipping label showed up on my idealwinecoolers.com account message board. I re-boxed the unit and took it to UPS Store. It cost $85.31 to ship it back to Mr Gruff. THIS WAS ALMOST ONE HALF OF WHAT I PAID FOR THE UNIT.

   The learning from this experience is to NEVER BUY SOMETHING FROM A VENDOR ON idealwinecoolers.com unless you like being screwed. I hope a refund is forthcoming.

   Doesn’t fit 18 bottles. Actually fits only 8 with some space for cans. The shelves will actually sag as well when the weight of 4 full wine bottles are on them.

   Love the overall design and simple features as well as the unique QUIET sound of the noises you usually hear with other fridges or coolers! I’ve had this cooler for almost a month, and pleased with its looks and performance, easy controls with the black glass & lighting, too! It CHILLS the Guinness ( I believe it’s made originally for wines, that are to be set for the ideal temperature of 55°, according to the user manual), enough, though I’d prefer a much cooler temp between 36° to 40° Fahrenheit.
