I've attached a picture showing a wine bottle lying on its side on the second shelf. It doesn't fit. The bottom shelf is the same depth. They will accommodate 16 oz water bottles but not wine bottles. If the middle shelf is removed, they will not fit because of the top shelf. Putting the top shelf in the very top shelf guide, only three bottles will fit because the temperature control blocks some of the space. And if you do that, eight bottles can fit standing up in the bottom of the fridge. There is no way to fit 12 bottles as described in the idealwinecoolers.com listing. And corked wine should be stored lying down, so this accommodates only four bottles of wine. I've used this fridge for nearly a month and am happy with it, but not for wine. I keep the temperature setting at its lowest, and an infrared thermometer reads 34 F. This is the way I like sodas and water bottles during the current heatwave in Dallas. This fridge is quiet. I hear it working only when I'm within a foot or two. My shop is usually about 85 degrees in the summer, and this fridge has no trouble keeping drinks cold. This is a compressor fridge. It doesn't cool with a thermocouple. The shelves are sturdy and don't sag. The door shuts securely, and I don't feel any coldness seeping out around the seal. This is a good fridge, but choose something else for wine. The price is on the high side for a small fridge, but the glass front and quiet compressor add to the cost of manufacturing this type of fridge.

Very nice looking cooler, well balanced between wine and beverage dual zones, very silent but we had to return it due to the height, didn’t fit under our counter to replace an older unit. Make sure you have 35.5 inch or more

This is a great looking wine fridge, and when we get it built-in it will look even nicer. I have noticed that the temperature fluctuates greatly on either side - as much as +/- 5 degrees from where it is set. I'm finding it safest to leave both sides at 55, which kind of defeats the purpose of having two zones.
It also cycles fairly loudly (hoping once its built in that will dampen it a bit), and often.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, but given the expense would have liked a bit more reliable temperature for my wine. If you're picky about that or paying big bucks for bottles, you might want to keep searching.

I was so excited to get my wine fridge in and then the nightmare started. I followed the directions explicitly as they were nice enough to put it on the outside of the box on yellow paper (thank you)…let sit for at least 24 hours before plugging in, fill 1/3 to 1/2 full and cool for at least 30 minutes then use as normal. Right away there was a clanging sound like bottles were hitting each other every time it shut off. I moved the bottles around thinking this was the issue but no amount of rearranging fixed it. So then I unloaded the whole fridge and the clanging happened AGAIN! I was absolutely beside myself. I put in a Return Request with idealwinecoolers.com and selected the Assistance option hoping Wine Enthusiast could help troubleshoot but after being on hold for over 30 minutes without talking to an actual human, I was done. Started the Return again to find out that the return isn’t pre-paid. They mention that if the cost is more than $30 to contact the seller for other options. Seriously? After already wasting 30 minutes of my life already contacting the seller…no thanks! This is the 2nd worst idealwinecoolers.com purchasing experience I have had and I shop a lot! Disappointing to say the least.

Everything seems to work just fine however I am unable to use top rack. I have yet to find one that is small enough. So, it is really a 6 bottle cooler.

I bought the wine cooler a while back and was truly enjoying using it. It is quiet and keeps the wine at just the right temperature. Unfortunately, we had a few severe storms roll through our area and the power was knocked out. My cooler would not turn back on, so I contacted the customer service from Bodega.

They were very helpful, sending emails and videos to troubleshoot the problem. They eventually decided that a new part needed to be sent to correct the problem. So that is what they did.

I am looking forward to enjoying some nice Pinots in the near future.
